mondjuk szeintem Desjardins lesz a norfolki starting goalie, míg mögötte Janus backupol, hogy Toki több jégidőt kaphasson az ECHL-ben. nincs sok értelme egy Desjardins/Toki párosnak az AHL-ben, mert valamelyik túl keveset védene.

"The Tampa Bay Lightning hired scouting veteran Al Murray as director of amateur scouting on Monday.
He spent the last three years as Hockey Canada's head scout of men's national teams.
"Al's vast scouting experience will prove to be a great asset for the Lightning as we move forward," general manager Steve Yzerman said in a release. "We are pleased to have him join the organization and I very much look forward to working with him as he leads our amateur scouting staff."
During his time with Hockey Canada, Murray was responsible for all player evaluations and selections for national junior team evaluation and selection camps as well as the national men's under-18 team.
"We would like to thank Al Murray for his three years of dedication and commitment to Hockey Canada," said Brad Pascall, Hockey Canada's vice-president of hockey operations/national teams. "He has been a terrific addition to our men's high performance department and we wish him the best of luck in Tampa Bay."
Murray previously spent 12 years as director of amateur scouting with the Los Angeles Kings."

ÖRNSKÖLDSVIK. Last year, he wrote history as the youngest ever NHL Swede.
But the season still ended in disappointment when the Tampa Bay missed the playoffs.
This year Victor Hedman hopes that a partly new team will get there - with the help of an icon at the helm.
- It's insanly fun to Steve Yzerman as general manager, says Hedman in an interview about getting his worst enemy as coach, the difficulties in controlling his body and poker games against Vincent Lecavalier.
The contrast could hardly have been greater.
Last summer Victor Hedman left the security in Örnsköldsvik the for the surface in Florida. Half full stadiums in Södertälje, Gävle and traded for big matches in Montreal and Toronto.
Yet everything was as usual.
- In the beginning I pinched my arm. All of a sudden you sit and play poker or do lunch with "Vinny" (Vincent Lecavalier) and St. Louis (Martin). It was a dream: I thought it was someone else who was sitting there, not me, says Victor Hedman.
- But after a while you realize that they are just normal down to earth people even though they are superstars. There are no bullies on the team, everyone is equal. One would think that it's a cliche, but cohesion(? not sure about the translation here...) is most important in a team and I feel that we in Tampa Bay are very tight.
Playing with Icebreakers
Victor Hedman should know what he's talking about.
Home from his breakthrough season Sportbladet catch him on the golf course Veckefjärdens before a charity match with the Icebreakers. Together with Nicklas Backstrom, Samuel Påhlsson, Fredrik Modin and the other NHL players Hedman hand out scholarships to disabled children in Västernorrland.
Niklas Sundstrom chuckles happily to "large and small" when almost two meter (200 centimeter) tall Hedman are joined by 170 centimeters Mats Zuccarello Aasen on stage.

- We do some charity work around the Tampa also. I think it's a great opportunity to help while the boys meet again. In the U.S, such things also helps to increase the interest of the team, "said Hedman.

And in Florida, where hockey really isn’t in peoples DNA, and where most people are waiting for basketball icon, LeBron James arrival at Miami Heat, it’s needed.
Especially when the Tampa Bay Lightning missed the playoffs in three consecutive years and not had much to smile about since the Stanley Cup victory 2004th
- But I think the whole organization has got a huge lift in the summer with a new GM, new coaches and class players like Simon Gagné and Pavel Kubina. With Steve Yzerman in the club, people will start talking hockey down there again and the feeling is that many want to play for him. It is almost incredible that he who is so associated with Detroit is coming to Tampa.
"No hard feelings"
Did you have your eye on that the new coach Guy Boucher was an assistant coach for Canada in the JVM where in the famous finale in 2009 Angelo Esposito tackled Jacob Markstrom and you "took care" about the Canadian?
- I read it afterwards that it was he who was with the team at that time. There are no hard feelings on my part anyway (laughs). I just hope that he liked my game.
What have you focused on in your summer training, to be even better this year?
- Condition-wise, it must be really good. I've always had good stamina but it is especially important in the NHL when there are so many matches. I have biked, run and trained sprints since the first strides is everything in hockey. And then I have worked with co-ordination. I’m so big and I have to keep track of my arms and legs.
Do you have it now?
- Yes (laughs), but you have to work to keep it. When I was younger, it happened that I fell down suddenly. I had some problems because I grew too fast. Now that I've grown up it’s about getting the pieces together.
Speaking of Markstrom, now you get him as derby rival in the Florida Panthers.
- It will be perfect. I’m not saying that you live for it, but it is great fun to meet other players you know in other teams as the season progresses. And with Markstrom in the Panthers you have a couple of easy goals in those matches, "Victor Hedman says with a smile.

Tampa Bay Lightning signs Juraj Simek
The Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday signed left wing Juraj Simek to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced. Simek, 22, acquired in October 2008 from the Canucks with defenseman Lukas Krajicek in exchange for Shane O'Brien and Michel Ouelett, had 21 goals and 36 points in 75 games last season for AHL Norfolk.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed left wing Juraj Simek to a one-year, two-way contract today, Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced.
Simek, 6-foot, 197 pounds, has amassed 37 goals and 75 points in 204 career AHL games with the Norfolk Admirals and Manitoba Moose. After making his Norfolk debut in 2008-09, Simek appeared in a career-high 75 games with the Admirals last season, setting AHL career-best totals for goals, assists and points. His 21 goals tied for second on the team, while his 36 points tied for fifth among all Admirals skaters. He also tied for the team lead with seven power-play goals and his 173 shots on goal marked the team’s fourth-highest total.
A native of Presov, Slovakia, Simek played in his first professional season with Manitoba in 2007-08, notching seven goals and 10 assists in 66 games. That season, his goal total tied for second among Manitoba rookies, while his assist and point totals tied for third among the team’s first-year players. He also recorded a goal in one playoff game with the Moose.
Simek played in 29 games over three seasons in the top two tiers of the Swiss League before making his North American junior hockey debut in 2006-07 with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League. He appeared in 58 games with the Wheat Kings and tied for fourth on the team with 28 goals and ranked fifth with 57 points. He also ranked fourth on Brandon and fifth in the league in power-play goals with 17. He finished the year tied for fifth among all WHL skaters and ranked second among all WHL rookies in game-winning goals with six. Simek also appeared in nine playoff games with the Wheat Kings, tying for sixth on the team with six points and tying for second with five assists.
Simek was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the sixth round, 167th overall, at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Lightning from Vancouver with Lukas Krajicek in exchange for Shane O’Brien and Michel Ouellet on October 6, 2008.

Elnézést, hogy csak most írok először ebbe a topikba, de még nagyon új vagyok, és az off-seasonban nem szoktam mindig napról napra figyelni az eseményeket. Egyébként a jéghokit kb 8 éve kísérem figyelemmel, az első a sporthoz fűződő élményem a 2002-es olimpia volt. Azóta helyel-közzel követem az eseményeket, bár leginkább az elmúlt években, mert kisgyerekként annyira nem kötött le.
